We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Technician to join our team at Saint Alphonsus Health System. As a Phlebotomy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood samples from patients of all ages, utilizing proper techniques and protocols to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Identify patients correctly and transport specimens to the laboratory for processing.
- Perform related clerical and computer functions, including data entry and specimen tracking.
- Communicate effectively with patients, hospital staff, and laboratory personnel to ensure seamless workflow.
- Maintain quality and quantity of specimens sent to reference laboratories and report results received.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff.
- Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred.
