We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Instructor in Neurology to join our team at the University of Kentucky.
Job Summary:
The Department of Neurology is recruiting for an NIR Fellow to support the Department. The faculty member in this position will report to the Director of the NIR Fellowship and the Chairman of the Department of Neurology.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in clinical teaching activities and provide direct or consultative neurological care for patients (adults and/or children) with neurological illness in outpatient and/or outreach clinics as negotiated with the Department Chair.
- Attend on the Neurology (adult and/or pediatric) inpatient ward and/or consultative services and/or provide coverage for other faculty, and acquire and improve skills in research and teaching pertinent to future leadership roles in Academic Medicine.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated proficiency in patient care, teaching, communication skills, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks and work well with multidisciplinary professionals in varied organizational and community relationships.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology.
- License to practice medicine in the state of Kentucky.
