Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Class B CDL Delivery Truck Driver to join our team at ABC Supply. As a Delivery Truck Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe delivery of exterior and interior building products to our customers. Key Responsibilities
  • Treating Customers with Respect

As a Delivery Truck Driver, you will be the face of our company, interacting with customers on a daily basis. You will be responsible for treating customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring that they receive excellent service and support.

Conducting Safe Work Zones

You will be responsible for conducting a safe work zone during each job site, ensuring that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent accidents and injuries.

Adhering to Delivery Schedules

You will be responsible for adhering to assigned delivery schedules and following all job directives precisely, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and to the customer's satisfaction.

Documenting Deliveries

You will be responsible for documenting every step of each delivery by taking and uploading photos with our camera phone system, ensuring that all necessary records are kept and that any issues or concerns are reported promptly.

Completing Load Checks

You will be responsible for completing a thorough load check on your truck before leaving the branch, ensuring that all delivery materials are firmly secured and that all parts of your truck are in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.

Working with Delivery Material Handlers

You will be responsible for working in cooperation with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to set the materials and unloading them, ensuring that all deliveries are made efficiently and effectively.

Completing Logs and Paperwork

You will be responsible for completing and filing all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely manner, ensuring that all necessary records are kept and that any issues or concerns are reported promptly.

Providing Invoices and Collecting Payments

You will be responsible for providing the customer with an invoice on completion of each delivery and collecting the entire due amount on COD deliveries, ensuring that all payments are made promptly and that any issues or concerns are reported promptly.

Warehouse Work

You may be required to perform warehouse work, including loading and unloading of materials on to or off of trucks or into warehouse as assigned, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Requirements
  • Valid CDL - Class B

You must have a valid CDL - Class B to be eligible for this position.

Lifting Ability

You must be able to lift pounds repeatedly, as your most common cargo will be 70 pound bundles of shingles.

Pre-Employment Drug Screen

You will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens will be conducted throughout your employment.

Box and/or Flatbed Truck Experience

Box and/or flatbed truck experience is preferred, but not required.

Trailer Mounted Forklift Experience

Trailer mounted forklift experience is also preferred, but not required.
