Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Production Team Member to join our team at Adient. As an Automotive Foam Seating Assembler, you will play a critical role in the production of high-quality automotive foam seating units.
Key Responsibilities- Assembly and Quality Control: Assemble automotive foam seating units while maintaining good housekeeping, safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
- Production Operations: Perform line and/or support operations to mass produce automotive foam seating units in accordance with specifications.
- Part Building and Proficiency: Build parts in a specified manner according to the Operator Description Sheets and develop proficiency in all production-related jobs.
- Nonconforming Product Control: Control processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming product until deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
- Work Area Maintenance: Restock work areas as needed to ensure proper work flow and monitor production material quantities, reporting shortages as necessary.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift and/or carry seating components, foam seats, products, etc., and perform tasks that require walking, standing, reaching, lifting, bending, pulling, and pushing to move product through the build process.
- Equipment Operation: Use of hand-held pneumatic tools and other equipment to perform operations on the assembly line.
- Problem Solving and Quality Inspections: Problem solve workplace issues and conduct quality inspections of work in progress.
- Teamwork and Safety: Work as part of a team to ensure on-time quality product to our customers (internal and external) and incorporate safe working procedures into all daily activities in and around the facility.
- Communication and Compliance: Understand and follow written and verbal instructions, comply with company rules, policies, and practices, and attend and participate in regular plant and group meetings and activities.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform any and all other tasks as assigned by any member of management.
