Job Title: Medical Records Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Records Assistant. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records for inmates within the Department of Corrections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, classify, and abstract medical reports for assigned institutions
  • Create medical records for individual inmates and file medical reports in inmate medical records
  • Compile all inmate medical records for transfer and assist in medical department-related data entry
Requirements:
  • One year of clerical experience in a medical records department of a hospital, ambulatory acute medical care setting, or licensed nursing facility
  • Graduation from high school or medical secretarial or medical records program
  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA
  • Meet PA residency requirements
Additional Information:

This is a full-time position with a 37.5-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The selected candidate will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $39,000 before taxes.
