Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Rigger to join our team in Jackson, MS. As a Rigger, you will be responsible for aligning, leveling, and anchoring cranes and equipment, as well as assembling and installing supporting structures, rigging, hoist, and pulling gear.

Key Responsibilities

• Aligns, levels, and anchors cranes and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Assembles and installs supporting structures, rigging, hoist, and pulling gear to facilitate heavy lifting and transportation
• Connects pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures with bolts, shackles, and clamps to secure loads
• Cleans and dresses machine and surfaces of component parts to ensure optimal performance
• Controls movements of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces to prevent damage and ensure safety
• Dismantles, maintains, and stores rigging equipment to prevent damage and ensure readiness for use
• Manipulates rigging lines, hoist to move or support materials, steel, and concrete to facilitate heavy lifting and transportation
• Selects gears, cables, and shackles according to load size, facilities, and work schedule to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Signals or gives direction to workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and materials
• Tests rigging to ensure safety and reliability before engaging in hoisting and lifting

Requirements

• Must have excellent mechanical reasoning and good perception of math applications, weights, measurement, and balance
• Must be flexible with your schedule, able to travel, and able to work overtime
• Must pass drug test, fit for duty assessment, and background check
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
