Job Title: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at Allergy and ENT Associates. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our physicians to deliver exceptional medical services.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services to patients with allergy and ENT conditions. This includes conducting physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing and implementing patient-management plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide medical services to patients under the supervision of a physician.
  • Contribute to a physician's efficiency by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues.
  • Recommend options and courses of action for patient care.
  • Implement physician directives.
  • Assess patient health by interviewing patients and performing physical examinations.
  • Determine abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests and interpreting test results.
  • Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations, suturing, and managing wounds and infections.
  • Instruct and counsel patients by providing normal growth and development information and providing counseling on emotional problems of daily living.
  • Provide community of care by developing and implementing patient-management plans.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Develop health care team staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experimental growth opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of accredited PA school and/or Licensed by Texas Board of Nursing as Advanced Practice RN.
  • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Current active licensure/Certification to practice as a PA/NP in the State of Texas.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Knowledge of professional theory, practice, and medical care to give and evaluate patient care.
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
  • Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques to provide ongoing patient care.
  • Knowledge of medications and their effects on patients.
  • Knowledge of patient education principles to develop self-care programs.
  • Skill in anticipating and reacting calmly to emergency work situations.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
Work Environment:

Our clinic is a well-lighted, heated, and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday with regular working hours, but occasional Saturdays and/or travel to other clinics may be required.
