We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Platinum Dermatology Partners. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our providers and delivering exceptional patient care.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Escorting patients to and from exam rooms and preparing them for their examination.
- Entering complete medical histories and current medications into patient charts.
- Assisting providers in the exam room by scribing notes in patient medical records.
- Preparing and collecting path/lab specimens, notifying patients of results, and scheduling follow-up appointments.
- Daily cleaning and organizing exam rooms, as well as stocking rooms.
- Maintaining laboratory equipment, including cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
- Performing other duties as assigned to the back office.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- 2 years of experience working in a medical office as a Medical Assistant.
- Prior experience in dermatology is required, with a preference for cosmetic and surgical experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent phone etiquette and teamwork skills.
- Professional appearance and mannerisms.
- Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with patients and coworkers.
- Able to prioritize tasks, understand provider instructions, and know when to seek information or advice.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working on electronic medical records.
- A valid driver's license.
