The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Propulsion Engineer to join our Engines team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, manufacturing, test, certification, and flight operations of components/sub-assemblies of our hypersonic engine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the design, analysis, and manufacturing of engine components/sub-assemblies
  • Work closely with engineers and technicians across various disciplines
  • Inform the growth and capabilities of the company
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced aerospace engineer with a strong background in propulsion systems. You should have a Bachelor's or advanced degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering and at least 5 years of professional experience designing jet or rocket propulsion hardware using CAD and GD&T.

Desired Multipliers

We are also interested in candidates with additional experience in areas such as:

  • Designing, testing, or flying air-breathing combustors, augmentors, ignition systems, variable area nozzles, or turbomachinery
  • Designing high temperature moving mechanical assemblies
  • Development of propulsion system performance analysis tools
  • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter and NX
  • Experience with ANSYS
  • Experience in the design and manufacture of alloys for high temperature applications
  • Experience with additively manufactured metal alloys
  • Experience with jet fuels
  • Experience with the generation of work instructions and quality control associated with nonconformances
  • Experience in instrumentation selection and usage for ground and flight testing
  • Hands-on experience machining, welding, or integrating hardware (aerospace or other industry)
  • Experience certifying hardware for flight operations, including test asset development
