Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Driver to join our team at Central Sand and Gravel Company, A CRH Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting aggregates to and from various destinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including licensing, vehicle inspection, and hours of service.
  • Operate a truck with a capacity of over 3 tons, navigating through traffic and maneuvering to load and unload aggregate.
  • Follow written and oral instructions, including city street maps, and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Inspect the truck daily, ensuring all systems are functioning properly.
  • Meet attendance and punctuality requirements.
Qualifications
  • Hold a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in commercial driving.
  • Meet all eligibility requirements for driving a commercial motor vehicle in interstate commerce.
Physical Demands

The employee will regularly sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. They will frequently reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee will occasionally stand and walk. They must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

Work Environment

The employee will regularly be exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. They will frequently be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The employee will occasionally be exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment will usually be moderate.
