Service Setting: Inpatient

Reason for Coverage: Supplemental

Coverage Period: ASAP - Ongoing

Coverage Type: Clinical Only

Shift Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8-hr shifts, 7:30a start

Patient Volume: 13-16

Number of Cases: 15 (scheduled)

Support Staff: 1 APP, 2 RNs, 1 MA

Procedures:

  • Upper GI Endoscopy: with Biopsy, Foreign body removal, Fulguration of bleeder, Injection of varices
  • Lower GI Endoscopy
  • Sigmoidoscopy (Flexible, Rigid)
  • Colonoscopy with Biopsy & Excision of polyp
  • IVCS cases, No Anesthesia

Trauma Level: III

EMR: Epic

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate biopsy results to patients directly
  • Coordinate additional steps, including referrals, follow-ups, and imaging

Temporary Privileges: Available

Benefits: Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Active WA License or IMLC
  • BC/BE
  • ACLS
