Sheetmetal Fabricator

We are seeking a highly skilled Sheetmetal Fabricator / Mechanical Assembler to join our Engineering Prototype Lab (EPL) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and executing tasks necessary to produce high complexity / high precision formed sheet metal components in a high mix low volume development shop environment.

• Plan and safely execute tasks to produce high complexity / high precision formed sheet metal components
• Operate punch press & press break metal forming equipment
• Perform inspection of work in process to assure compliance to specifications
• Set-Up, Tooling, NC punch Programming
• Understand and practice of "Clean as you go" discipline as part of 6S compliance
• Support other duties as assigned

• Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
• Position requires an in-depth level of experience as a sheetmetal layout / fabrication technician
• Employee must have prior experience in the safe operation of punch press & press break metal forming equipment
• Position requires a basic understanding of GD&T specifications
• Ability to perform inspection of work in process to assure compliance to specifications
• Experience in a quick turn job shop
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications and general PC competency

• Solid competency and understanding of GD&T specifications
• Familiarity with PTC Creo and or Dassault CATIA CAD applications
• Three Axis CNC Experience
• Welding experience or the desire to learn
