Medical Director

Your responsibilities will include evaluating and performing comprehensive patient evaluations and follow-ups, ordering medication, monitoring patient response, and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
You will also be responsible for reviewing state-specific prescription drug monitoring program (PDMP) database and documenting findings in case notes. Additionally, you will review drug screen results, determine appropriateness for confirmation testing, and interpret serology results.
You will provide patient education regarding MAT, OUD, prevention of communicable disease, and other health-related topics pertinent to individuals with substance use disorders.
You will also complete clinical documentation on the same day as the encounter in the client's electronic health record (EHR) and ensure all documentation is complete, appropriate, and adherent to CMS policy requirements.
In addition, you will provide emergency triage to patients in distress, including the administration of naloxone.
You will maintain a schedule of appointments with efficient use of time and be present in the clinic during all assigned hours. You will also be available on-call, if necessary.
You will adhere to professional ethics and boundaries at all times and assist with dosing and medication services, when needed.

* Licensed as a MD or DO in the state(s) of employment
* Unrestricted DEA license
* 1+ years of experience as a physician in substance use treatment or related behavioral health setting preferred
* Clinical experience in substance abuse rehabilitation and Opioid treatment preferred
* Basic to intermediate computer knowledge, including ability to navigate in electronic health records
* Problem solving, conflict resolution, and strong customer service skills
* Passion, humility, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
* Strong team player comfortable working in a fast-paced setting
