Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician I to join our team at UCHealth. As a Sterile Processing Technician I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by processing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Decontaminate and clean medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Perform visual inspections of instruments and equipment to ensure they are free from defects and damage.
  • Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and sterilizers.
  • Document all work performed using instrument tracking software and paper documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient and effective processing of instruments and equipment.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification as a Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from a recognized accrediting agency.
