**Patient Assessment and Critical Care**
* Perform thorough and ongoing assessments of patients' conditions, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assessing the need for interventions.
* Provide specialized care to critically ill patients, including those with complex medical conditions, post-surgical recovery, and trauma-related injuries.
**Collaborative Care and Emergency Response**
* Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
* Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies, including code blue situations, and provide immediate life-saving interventions.
**Patient and Family Education and Equipment Operation**
* Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
* Competently operate and troubleshoot complex medical equipment used in the ICU.
**Infection Control and Documentation**
* Strictly adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
* Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including assessments, interventions, and progress notes.
**Qualifications and Benefits**
* Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in state of practice.
* BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Additional certifications such as CCRN or TNCC are a plus.
* Previous ICU nursing experience is preferred, but new graduates with a strong interest in critical care may be considered.

* Ability to remain calm and make critical decisions in high-pressure situations.

This is a 13-week assignment with a 36-hour workweek, with the possibility of working up to 48 hours per week. The shift is 12 hours, varying days, nights, weekends, and holidays. AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and AHA PALS certifications are required. Any state license is accepted, and 2 years of recent ICU experience are required. EMR: RPMS.
