Job Summary:

The UX Design Operations Specialist at Mitchell Martin will oversee the process of designing and developing user engagement experiences for a variety of applications. This role will manage large projects under limited supervision, developing and documenting functional requirements and translating them into detailed design documents. As a subject matter expert in user experience, this role will research and develop design parameters, performance characteristics, and technical specifications of all products and components.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Investigate and interpret how users feel about a system, examining factors such as ease of use, perception of the system's value, utility, and efficiency in performing tasks.
  • Translate user needs and business requirements into features and functionality for digital experiences.
  • Develop process flows, wireframes, and prototypes to effectively conceptualize and communicate high-level design strategies.
  • Maintain proficiency in design tools and possess highly specialized knowledge of a specific technology.
  • Recommend management of the system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.
  • Communicate the status of projects to stakeholders.
  • Coach, review, and delegate work to lower-level professionals.

Job Requirements:

  • Additional qualifications include operational aspects necessary to design organizations, including:
  • At least 5 years of experience in Design Ops/Project and/or Program Management, Creative Development within Design or Creative teams.
  • Knowledge management and communications supporting process.
  • Vendor management and tools provisioning.
  • Familiarity with UX Design tools and comfort interacting with JIRA, InVision, Figma, Sketch, and/or related tools.
  • Development and governance of playbooks and process documentation supporting creative development and operations.
  • Ability to manage various initiatives and projects aligned to customer experience journeys.
  • University degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience required; 7+ years preferred.
  • Sedentary work environment.
