Job Overview

DXP Enterprises is seeking a highly skilled Rotating Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing technical support to sales engineers and customers, as well as providing customer service, sales, and technical support to our sales force and customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. You will work closely with our sales, fabrication, and vendor teams to facilitate the sales effort and meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to sales engineers and customers for products and services provided by DXP Enterprises, Inc.
  • Provide customer service, sales, and technical support to sales force and customers.
  • Understand and implement policies to achieve both customer and company goals.
  • Work closely with sales, fabrication, and vendors to facilitate the sales effort and meet customer requirements.
  • Evaluate customer bid requirements, specifications, and other pertinent data.
  • Prepare proposals using vendor software, sales catalogs, and cost estimates according to technical and performance requirements.
  • Aid in the design and development of equipment and systems, and redesign of existing systems.
  • Notify inside and outside staff of new products and processes as needed.
  • Facilitate prompt remedy of customer technical problems, complaints, and failures.
  • Maintain organization of order files, monitor in-house orders, and assist sales and fabrication with project-related questions.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree or 5 years of related experience.
  • Preferred knowledge of centrifugal pumps, other fluid handling equipment, and fabricated pumping systems.
  • Must be able to work independently to achieve targeted results.
  • Well-organized and self-motivated.
  • Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills.
  • Effective negotiating skills.
  • Project management experience and team work skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Training/Certifications: Any related to pumps, motors, couplings, mechanical seals knowledge

Shift Time/Overtime: Overtime not required.

Education: Engineering-related bachelor's degree or related experience
