Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Unit Law Librarian to join our team at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing research and information services to support the mission of the TDCJ.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing research and information services to support the mission of the TDCJ
- Developing and maintaining a comprehensive collection of legal and law enforcement resources
- Assisting with the development and implementation of training programs for TDCJ staff
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services
- Providing support for the TDCJ Training Academy
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED
- Four years full-time, wage-earning criminal justice or library experience
- Thirty semester hours from a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education (USDE) may be substituted for each year of experience on a year-for-year basis
- Legal research experience preferred
Salary: $4,015.92 per year
