Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain production systems that support real-time trading applications. Participate in on-call rotations and serve as the escalation point for Linux-related incidents.
  • Oversee both production and non-production environments, including co-located and cloud infrastructure. Troubleshoot system issues and conduct root cause analysis. Support QA and development team testing environments. Manage request tickets and maintain a ticket queue.
  • Administer, upgrade, and enhance the server configuration management platform (Redhat Satellite and Redhat Ansible Tower).
  • Manage updates for kernel, drivers, and firmware, along with security patching.
  • Collaborate with Development and other IT teams to provision servers for new initiatives.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and implement enhancements to our technology stack.
  • Automate routine manual processes.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • At least 4 years of experience in supporting complex Linux and cloud IAAS (AWS, GCP, Azure) environments (AWS preferred).
  • Experience in support and troubleshooting with current versions of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8).
  • Operational experience with VMware 7.0+.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
  • Hands-on experience with configuration management tools and infrastructure as code (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams.
  • Experience with Veritas Netback and Dell/EMC storage solutions (Powerstore, Unity, etc.).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

The salary for this position is competitive, reaching up to $160,000, depending on experience. The role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus program and equity.
