Job Description

We are seeking experienced software developers to join our growing software development team. As a software developer, you will be part of a diverse team that creates applications installed onboard Navy submarines and aircraft carriers.

You will play a primary role in the research, design, development, and lifecycle management of these applications, while working to develop innovative future solutions. The organization fosters an environment and culture where collaboration and mentoring is regularly practiced.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop high-quality code adhering to cybersecurity principles
  • Perform unit testing
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
  • Publication of software documentation, including design, technical specification, and end-user documentation
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 4 years of relevant experience
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience
  • Currently or previously NPE qualified
  • CTE/ACRS and 1 year EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program
  • Watch Instructor and Refueling Facility Area Refueling Engineer and 1 year as SRE
Preferred Skills
  • Degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred
  • Development experience with C#, Java, or other programming languages
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices and software lifecycle models
  • Experience in automating tasks using a scripting language
  • Experience in developing automated unit tests
  • Experience in developing and deploying services in a Microsoft Operating System environment
  • Familiarity with database architectures
