Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service and support of the IMI Industrial Automation desktop infrastructure, ERP, and application troubleshooting with a primary focus toward supporting the Saline/Rochester Hills sites as well as supporting other sites when required.
  • Assist ERP administrator with repetitive tasks, i.e., new user accounts and permissions, updates, and system training. This includes tier 1 troubleshooting of Epicor ERP application problems and coordinating support tickets with Epicor third-party support.
  • Maintain CAD/CAM systems including software installation, software updates, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with Americas client service team to deliver IT projects and develop and implement IT systems and processes.
  • Create and manage Active Directory accounts and security groups while adhering to security policies.
  • Maintain user accounts, rights, and privileges on desktops and laptops and applications when assigned.
  • Guide other business departments with organizing and managing their stored network data.
  • Manage adds, changes, and moves for desktops, laptops, and phones.
  • Act as a front-line interface to the customer, accepting trouble reports and dispatching them to the appropriate system administrators when escalation is necessary.
  • Monitor the client services Service-Now ticket queue and manage Desktop, ERP, and Application Incidents and requests and adhere to the agreed SLAs for ticket resolution.
  • Follow internal procedures for Service Now change, request, and incident management, escalation. Close monitoring and action upon new incidents both at the local and other regional locations is expected.
  • Proactively manage and monitor the local desktop environment and initiate required corrective actions when issues are identified.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems on Windows OS-based PCs including mobile devices.
  • Address customer support issues as quickly as possible; troubleshoot difficult cases, escalate as required to Tier 2 support teams. Document resolutions and share findings with the rest of the team.
  • Ability to compose reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals if required.
  • Manage network printer and print servers. Monitor consumables for replacement.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills related to desktop and application platforms.

  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adhere to scheduled shift start time according to the site requirements.
  • Strong organization, written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge with Windows 7/10, Active Directory, and mobile device operating systems. Windows 11 experience will be beneficial.
  • Strong working knowledge of network configuration on PCs and mobile devices.
  • Strong working knowledge of desktop applications in a Windows environment.
  • Experience with MS Office 365, Epicor ERP, and Catia CAD software will be very beneficial.
  • Strong working knowledge of supporting applications and systems in a large company environment aligned with Global Enterprise Standards and procedures.
