Job Summary

As a Nursing Assistant II, you will provide direct patient care and support to medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients on the 5B medical/surgical unit. This unit specializes in oncology, gynecology, and hospice care, and you will have the opportunity to work with patients receiving chemotherapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or other licensed care team member
  • Assist with routine duties such as vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and patient transfers
  • Support the care team in maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification (SRNA, CNA) or successful completion of first year of a Nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation
  • Basic Life Support certification
