English Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English teacher to join our team at Success Academy, the largest and fastest-growing network of public charter schools in New York City.

This position involves teaching middle and high school English students, managing a classroom of 20+ scholars, and providing timely feedback and support to help students improve. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of student performance and progress, communicating regularly with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic progress and behavioral issues, and collaborating with other teachers, staff, and administration to support student success.

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
• Assess and analyze data to chart student growth and achievement
• Engage in professional development opportunities with school leaders to refine teaching methods
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

• Bachelor's degree required; background in education not necessary
• Ability to work in person in New York City (with a $2500 stipend for qualified relocations)
• Passion for content areas including literature, science, history, and math
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Strong emotional intelligence and ability to build trusting relationships with diverse groups
