About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Intranet Product Owner to lead the transformation of our company's intranet into a cutting-edge platform that meets the evolving needs of all employees.

This role is integral in shaping the future of our internal communications, collaborating closely with both business and IT teams to enhance the functionality and user experience of the intranet, particularly as we transition to a new platform built on SharePoint.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Product Management Activities: Work with business stakeholders, internal IT teams, and the implementation vendor to continuously enhance the platform.
  • Develop and Manage Product Roadmap: Prioritize features based on business value, user needs, and implementation effort, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Establish standard processes that lead to meaningful improvements in the intranet experience, linking business outcomes to strategic goals.
  • Gather and Balance Input: From various departments, including corporate communications, human resources, and facilities, to create a consolidated, enterprise-wide roadmap. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and leadership.
  • Provide Guidance and Coaching: To product teams, ensuring that best practices are followed in the development and implementation of intranet content and features.
  • Promote a Unified Approach: To decision-making and stakeholder engagement, fostering strong collaboration across internal and external partners.
  • Lead Efforts to Enhance Content Management: Optimize the intranet by removing redundant information and improving the quality of content available to employees.
  • Use Data to Refine and Improve: The user experience, making data-driven decisions that reflect the needs of different user personas within the company.
  • Participate in Ongoing Business Planning: Ensure that the intranet remains a central tool for employee engagement and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Team: Drive the development of new features and integrations, ensuring that the intranet serves as the core of the employee experience.
Requirements
  • A minimum of three years of experience leading cross-functional teams on large-scale projects within an organization.
  • A strong ability to manage complex projects and deliver measurable business value within established timelines.
  • A data-driven mindset with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and improvement, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience in managing stakeholders across various divisions within an enterprise, with a track record of effective collaboration in a matrixed environment.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a product owner for an enterprise intranet or employee mobile application.
  • Experience with content management systems such as SharePoint, AEM, or ServiceNow.
  • A deep understanding of using customer feedback and operational data to enhance the user experience.
  • Proven experience in defining and applying content management practices within an organization.
