Porter/Custodial

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Porter/Custodial to join our team at Big Y. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, clean, and attractive environment for our customers and employees.

• Clean and sanitize the meat cutting area, kitchen, and bakery area to ensure a high level of food safety and quality.
• Maintain proper department conditions and supplies, including racks, sales floor, bottle redemption area, closets, and workstations.
• Operate equipment and machinery safely and efficiently to perform maintenance and janitorial duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the store.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will also need to be physically able to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and supplies.
