The Clinical Nurse (RN) in the Cath Lab at Christus Health is a highly skilled professional responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care tailored to specific patient populations. This role emphasizes quality and safe care, adhering to organizational standards, while fostering respectful interactions with staff, patients, and families.

Job Description

This Registered Nurse coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units. The nurse ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit's standards of care.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization.
  • Treats staff, physicians, patients, and families with consideration and respect.
RequirementsQualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
  • Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license. BLS Certification required or within 2 weeks of hire date.
Preferred Skills
  • Current knowledge and skills appropriate to age/type of patient population served.
  • Knowledgeable and sensitive to patients' rights in the delivery of care.
  • Communicates in a clear concise manner appropriate to the developmental age of patient.
Working Conditions

The nurse works in a clean, well-lighted, ventilated smoke-free environment. Exposure to infectious diseases and x-rays is possible. Working hours are varied, with flexibility due to unexpected changes in schedule and emergencies.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $90,000 per year, based on experience. In addition, we provide comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
