Blended Practice Area Consultant

This position plays a pivotal role in driving preference and active-user growth in law schools and law firms within an assigned territory. The successful candidate will assess customer needs, develop tailored business plans, and educate customers on the benefits of LexisNexis products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a consultative sales professional, building relationships with law school and law firm customers to drive preference and increase active users.
- Effectively engage with customers at all levels, from students and faculty to associates, partners, librarians, and leadership.
- Develop strategic account plans, identify sales opportunities, and target specific sales activities to drive growth.
- Manage law school accounts independently and partner with law firm client managers to overcome customer challenges and position them for success.
- Demonstrate deep product knowledge and serve as an internal resource for sales, marketing, and segment teams.
- Prepare and deliver specialized customer presentations that communicate LexisNexis' value proposition and competitive differentiators.
- Conduct competitive research, analyze findings, and share information with product, segment, and marketing teams.
- Develop and execute creative marketing strategies to position LexisNexis as the premier source for law schools and law firms.
- Target, hire, and manage hourly student workers to support law school goals.
- Ability to lift/carry laptop or iPad and other sales materials up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Basic Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A State Bar membership.
- 2+ years proven sales experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing account plans and coordinating key stakeholders and resources.
- Demonstrate outstanding networking capabilities and exhibit a professional demeanor, business maturity, and technical knowledge.
- Able to work as part of a team, accomplishing mutual team goals.
- Able to work independently and own and manage a territory.
