The world-class transplant surgery program at MedStar Georgetown Transplant Institute is seeking highly skilled Organ Procurement Surgeons to join our abdominal surgery program. As a Clinical Associate, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals and contribute to the success of our transplant program.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate transplant organs and perform organ procurement, including DCD Liver and Kidney procurement.
- Participate in Liver and Kidney machine perfusion.
- Lead and develop the Liver and Kidney transplant preservation team.
- Become proficient in multivisceral and intestinal procurement.
- Participate in research opportunities.
- Previous surgical experience with Liver and Kidney procurement.
- Graduate of a US ACGME-accredited General Surgery Residency, ASAT Certified Abdominal Transplant Surgery Fellowship.
- International applicants must have a minimum of 2-3 years of fellowship experience in the United States and be fluent in English.
- Eligible for District of Columbia Medical Licensure.
- Strong surgical skills, exceptional collaboration, and communication skills.
A competitive hiring range of $219,498 - $516,655, excellent compensation, comprehensive benefits package, and a collegial work environment.
