Job Opportunity: Outpatient Clinician

Cooperative Counseling Services (CCS) is a dynamic and supportive organization committed to improving the lives of under-served children, adolescents, adults, and their families. We are seeking a full-time licensed clinician to join our outpatient team in Middlesex Borough, NJ.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide short-term evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, adults, families, and groups.
  • Assess clients' needs, interpret the nature of psychiatric/behavioral health conditions, formulate proper diagnoses, and prescribe a course of treatment as part of comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and supervision.
  • Collaborate with the psychiatric team, other clinicians, and community providers to ensure superior service is provided to each client.
  • Recommend the appropriate level of care after evaluating each client and link to services outside of CCS when needed.
  • Create individual service plans and modify treatment approaches using assessment data from standardized instruments.
  • Collaborate with community providers, schools, and agencies to support assessment, treatment, service planning, and discharge.
  • Provide information regarding community resources to youth, adults, and families.
  • Maintain all required case documentation according to State of N.J., Medicaid, and CCS Outpatient Standards.
  • Enter clinical notes and other collateral information into the company's electronic medical record (EMR) system same day care is provided to the client.
  • Submit accurate daily billing for services in EMR and in accordance with performance targets.
  • Ensure sessions start and end as scheduled.
  • Promote family engagement/participation and utilize evidence-based practice to inform family therapy modality.
  • Take corrective actions as needed from findings of chart audits.
  • Meet or exceed the company's established performance and productivity targets.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology.
  • Current verifiable New Jersey State License, in good-standing, required (LSW or LAC).
  • Clinical experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills and the ability to work well with people are essential.
  • Ability to work evenings to accommodate families' schedules.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
