Job Summary
We're looking for a skilled Linux GUI Developer to support the next generation Navy tactical communications systems on Linux systems. This key position is part of a dynamic team fulfilling technical needs of our military and will be responsible for developing software applications that support Navy tactical communications systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers and administer Red Hat virtual machines (KVM) and containers (Docker/Podman).
• Develop software applications in Python, ReactJS, and TypeScript/JavaScript on Red Hat Linux platforms.
• Automation of maintenance tasks using shell scripting (Bash) and maintain source code in software repositories (Git).
• Assist in management of network devices, including configuration of layer 2 & 3 switches and routers.
• Research and resolve software trouble reports impacting application functionality.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must currently possess and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance.
• Demonstrated knowledge of hardware specifications found in desktops, laptops, tablets and servers.
• Strong documentation and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and balance multiple goals and priorities.
• Self-Motivated, strong work ethic and commitment to quality.

Education and Experience

• BS Degree in relevant technical field or combination of education and experience.
• CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent.
• 8-10 years of Linux system administration experience.
• 5 years of software development experience using Python or Java or C#.
