  • Project Strategy: Formulate detailed project strategies that encompass scope, timelines, budgets, and resource distribution, ensuring they align with client needs and organizational goals.
  • Financial Oversight: Develop and oversee project financial plans, track expenditures, and apply cost-reduction strategies while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Timeline Management: Create comprehensive project timelines, collaborating with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to guarantee timely procurement of materials and completion of tasks.
  • Subcontractor Oversight: Identify, negotiate, and manage agreements with subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications, deadlines, and quality benchmarks.
  • Quality Control: Supervise the quality assurance processes, confirming that all work adheres to design specifications, building regulations, and industry standards.
  • Risk Assessment: Recognize potential project risks and devise strategies to mitigate them, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Client Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for clients, maintaining consistent communication to provide updates, address inquiries, and manage expectations.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Keep precise and current project documentation, including contracts, amendments, progress reports, and final documentation.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and mentor project teams, promoting a collaborative and effective work atmosphere.
  • Safety Standards: Ensure that all construction activities adhere to safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years in project management within the commercial construction sector, ideally with experience in relevant industries such as retail, healthcare, or hospitality.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. PMP or similar certifications are advantageous.
  • Skills:
    • Proven project management capabilities with a history of successfully delivering commercial construction projects on schedule and within budget.
    • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
    • Effective leadership and team management abilities.
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
    • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project) and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily located on-site at various construction projects.
  • Some travel may be necessary for client meetings, site visits, or industry-related events.
