Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical System Installation: Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, including location, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
  • Tool Management: Identify and acquire all necessary tools for tasks, and identify potential safety risks and implement precautions to mitigate them.
  • Electrical Apparatus Installation: Install control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels, and secure them in place using hand or power tools.
  • System Testing: Test continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments such as ohmmeters, batteries, and buzzers.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Observe the functioning of installed equipment or systems to identify potential hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
  • Defective Equipment Repair: Disassemble and repair defective electrical equipment or systems.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in the industrial construction/maintenance industry.
  • Skills: Ability to fabricate and install rigid and aluminum conduit, use mechanical and hydraulic benders, and install conduit supports.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to perform tasks that require climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions.
