Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at NOW Healthcare Recruiting (NP Now) in Greater Des Moines, IA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and interpret biopsychosocial data to make informed decisions regarding patient care.
  • Provide support and education to hospital Residency and Fellowship programs.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the interpretation of biopsychosocial data and assume accountability for interventions prescribed.

About the Role:

This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and brief psychotherapy to patients. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry by a recognized professional organization.
  • Able to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Iowa.
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician's field of practice.
  • Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt).
