Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Land Surveyor courses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surveying and be able to create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Land Surveyor courses at a variety of times and locations, creating course syllabi, and submitting required college reports and forms in a timely manner.
The Adjunct Faculty member will also be expected to maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community, and attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required.
This is a part-time position, contingent upon student demand, and the successful candidate will be required to teach a maximum of five classes per academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Land Surveyor courses at a variety of times and locations
- Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
- Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner
- Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
- Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
- Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or higher, with a license, or certification, previously licensed, previously certified in the Surveying Industry with a minimum of 3 years of work experience in the surveying industry
Benefits:
- $58.05 per contact hour
