Pediatric Social Work Specialist

Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Social Work Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Early Childhood Clinic, you will provide social work services to families seen by the clinic, including conducting psychosocial histories, leading support groups, and connecting families with resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting psychosocial histories to understand the needs of families
Leading first-time autism diagnosis groups to support families
Leading sibling support groups to help siblings cope with the diagnosis
Connecting families with resources such as Early Intervention, Committee for Preschool Special Education, and Committee for Special Education
Collaborating with the team to provide comprehensive care to families
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Social Welfare or related field
Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
Experience in a pediatric outpatient setting, preferably with children with autism diagnosis
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
