We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our team at Hartwig. As a key member of our sales team, you will work closely with customers to provide technical support and solutions for their manufacturing needs.
Main Responsibilities- Evaluate and Improve Manufacturing Processes: Assess customer manufacturing processes and recommend industry-leading solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and Test Alternative Processing Methods: Design and test new processing methods to optimize manufacturing outcomes.
- Perform Time Studies and Process Improvement Recommendations: Conduct time studies to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to customers.
- Oversee Machine Installations: Ensure smooth installation of machine tools and provide training to customers.
- Conduct Research and Present Proposals: Research and present proposals to customers to meet their manufacturing needs.
- Provide On-Site Programming and Machine Operation Training: Train customers on machine operation and programming.
- Facilitate Customer Demonstrations: Set up and program machine tools for customer demonstrations.
- Education: Two- or four-year degree in manufacturing engineering.
- Experience: Experience in machining process development, project management, and CNC programming.
- Machine Programming Experience: Okuma machine programming experience preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical and technical aptitude, with ability to demonstrate knowledge and application of machine tool products, options, and functions.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, including collaboration, listening, respect, and work ethic, to build lasting relationships with team members and customers.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with sales team to provide customer solutions.
