Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment within the manufacturing facility. This role requires a strong technical background in electrical engineering, with a focus on industrial automation and control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, install, and maintain electrical systems, including power distribution, motor control centers, and control panels.
  • Develop and implement electrical maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and optimize performance.
  • Troubleshoot electrical equipment and systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Program and maintain Allen Bradley PLCs to control production processes.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to optimize production processes and improve overall plant efficiency.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all electrical safety standards and regulations.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Allen Bradley PLC programming and installation.
  • Experience in facilities engineering, including compressed air, water, hydraulics, vacuums, heating, and cooling systems.
  • Strong understanding of process control systems.
  • Knowledge of power distribution up to 4160V preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in the pulp and paper, plastics, or packaging industry preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software and tools.
