About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at a leading healthcare organization in the Albany area. As a key member of our nursing department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and promote the philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of the nursing department.
  • Assist in the planning and carrying out of direct care to residents based on the nursing care plan.
  • Administer medications and treatment according to care plans and doctors' orders.
  • Perform special nursing procedures as required.
  • Assist in meeting the nutritional needs of the residents.
  • Observe the residents for changes in physical, social, or behavioral status and report and document signs and symptoms to the nurse in charge of the unit according to policy.
  • Participate and attend all in-service education programs as required or indicated.
  • Use regularly scheduled unit staff meetings for problem-solving and information exchange.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all employees, visitors, and residents.
  • Must be able to use both hands or use prosthetics that enable the employee to perform duties.
  • Observe, evaluate, and report on care provided to residents by Certified Nursing Assistants.
