Job Summary:

The Medical Laboratory Technician will be responsible for performing medical laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses to provide data for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform medical laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses to provide data for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
  • Work in a manner that facilitates excellent customer service, teamwork, and practice safety and infection control procedures to assure a safe environment.
  • Perform quality control procedures as delineated assigned.
  • Prepare reagents, calibrators, and control for use in routine and special tests.
  • Process abnormal results and critical values according to laboratory policies.
  • Collect and process patient specimens according to approved procedures and specified times whenever necessary.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, medical technology, or related field.
  • 1 year of experience in the position or related occupation.
  • Nationally recognized clinical certification (ascp or amt) or hhs certification.
Special Requirements:
  • Must have experience in laboratory and high-complexity testing.
