Donation Attendant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Donation Attendant. As a key member of our Donated Goods Retail Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective operation of our store.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting donors and customers, and assisting with basic questions.
• Sort donations according to company guidelines, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
• Assist in the training and development of store team members, clients, and volunteers.
• Perform various tasks, including loading and sorting materials, maintaining accurate records, and issuing donation receipts.
• Work collaboratively with the Store Manager and other team members to achieve store goals and objectives.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Must be able to pass skills and knowledge assessment testing.
• Pass drug test and criminal background check.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this role include the ability to twist, bend, squat, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, and pull. The employee must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and team lift or use equipment to aid in the lifting and movement of items over 40 pounds.

Work Environment:

The work environment is indoors with occasional exposure to outside temperatures. The employee will work around occupational allergens, including dust, animal hair and dander, perfumes, and mold. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
