Job Title: Aircraft Fueler

Avflight is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Fueler to join our team. As an Aircraft Fueler, you will be responsible for providing fuel, oil, and other services to aircraft, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform fueling and de-icing of aircraft in accordance with specific standards
• Direct the movement of aircraft and vehicular traffic on the ramp and in and about the shops and hangars of our facilities
• Drive and service fuel trucks and ground support vehicles, and service aircraft and ground support vehicles with fuel, oil, and other supplies and materials
• Use safety-related equipment and provide de-icing service to aircraft when needed
• Perform groundskeeping and janitorial maintenance duties, drive snow plow, and assist with snow removal as required
• Maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of the areas in and about our facilities
• Assist all aircraft crews and passengers by courteously providing services they may require
• Assist with daily fuel farm inspections, including performing preloading and quality control inspections
• Perform daily and monthly fuel truck safety inspections, ensuring vehicles are in safe operating order and running properly
• Maintain compliance with all FAA, Federal, State, Local, and Avflight safety policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• 2 years related experience, Aviation experience a plus
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Must have authorization to work in the U.S.
• Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate basic computer skills with the ability to easily grasp the functionality and concepts of company software for paperwork and computer transactions
• Ability to write clearly and legibly
• Ability to push/pull/lift 70 lbs. for extended periods of time
• Ability to work efficiently under time constraints
• Must be available and willing to work varied hours, including swing and graveyard shifts, plus weekends and holidays

Physical Demands:

Strenuous lifting and pulling fuel hoses (75-80 lbs.). Climbing and standing on step ladders while connecting fueling hoses overhead. Bending and stooping to manipulate hoses and connect aircraft tow bars. Must be able to carry 70 pound suitcase from the floor to 18 inches and carry 70 pound suitcase in front of you with both hands for a distance of up to 25 feet; Must have physical dexterity sufficient to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting and sustaining those positions for extended amounts of time. Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.

Work Environment:

Airport environment: Indoors and Outdoors. Extreme outdoor conditions where extreme temperature ranges may be encountered.
