Assistant Store Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Aldi. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store, providing exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing day-to-day store activities, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining store appearance.
  • Develop and implement action plans to improve store performance, including sales growth, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.
  • Recruit, train, and develop store staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent customer service and achieve sales targets.
  • Monitor and control store expenses, including labor costs, inventory, and supplies, to ensure profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations, including health and safety, food safety, and data protection.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in a retail management role, preferably in a similar environment.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and reducing costs.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
