Job Title: Middle School Learning Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Middle School Learning Specialist to join our team at Unity Preparatory Charter School of Brooklyn.

About the Role

The Middle School Learning Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the academic and personal growth of our students. As a member of our faculty, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, differentiating instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, and promoting a positive and inclusive school culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver standards-aligned lessons that cater to the needs of diverse learners
  • Differentiate instruction to support students with varying learning styles and abilities
  • Provide remediation and support to students who require additional help
  • Model and promote healthy habits and character skills among students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective instructional strategies
Requirements
  • Master's degree with a teaching certification in New York
  • 2+ years of formal teaching experience in New York
  • Demonstrable skill in accelerating student growth and mastery
  • Adeptness in differentiating instruction to support diverse learners
  • Ability to plan rigorous and engaging curricula that align with New York State learning standards
