Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Collections Associate to join our team at HD Supply. This role is responsible for contacting customers to collect outstanding accounts receivables, resolving billing issues, and reducing delinquency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate with customers to determine the reason for overdue payments and review terms of sale, service, or credit contracts.
  • Receive payments and post amounts paid to customer accounts.
  • Document financial information and collection efforts.
  • Monitor assigned accounts and collection reports to maintain up-to-date customer records.
  • Resolve internal and external customer non-payment issues, invoice discrepancies, and customer payments outside of approved terms.
Nature and Scope
  • Refer complex problems to a supervisor.
  • Exercise judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques.
  • Work under general supervision with regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.
Work Environment
  • Work in a comfortable indoor area with minimal unpleasant conditions.
  • Mostly sit and move about frequently, with occasional need to move or lift light articles.
  • No travel required.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, with specialized skills training or certification required.
  • Generally 2-5 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
