We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse to join our team at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center. As a key member of our Radiology Department, you will provide exceptional patient care and advocate for the needs of our patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care through the development and implementation of ongoing systems and practices that promote and maintain quality nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Radiology Department.
- Check and verify vital signs, medications, NPO status, lab results, and medical history.
- Insert and remove intravenous lines, administer conscious sedation drugs, and monitor patient patterns and vital signs during procedures.
- Oversee the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Provide post-procedure monitoring, observing for signs and symptoms of complications, such as bleeding from the puncture site, pain, and/or changes in mental status or vital signs.
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Colorado Registered Nurse License with current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- 2-3 years of experience in a specialty unit (Critical Care, ED, PACU, or Radiology) preferred.
- Ability to function independently, be multi-task oriented, and show excellent prioritizing skills.
