Cynet Health is seeking a compassionate and organized Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Travel Nurse RN - Surgical Oncology Specialist. This role requires a nurse with excellent communication skills, knowledge of professional nursing theory, and experience in providing high-quality patient care in a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients with health issues ranging from simple to complex, ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction and safety.
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients, prioritizing their needs and providing individualized care.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments, noting all changes and updates.
- Assist physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, maintaining a high level of professionalism and respect.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observing and intervening as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications as prescribed, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
- Deliver competent patient care, prioritizing patient needs and preferences.
- Interact with family and patients to share care plans during hospital stays and at discharge, ensuring a smooth transition to home care.
- Inform patients and families of hospital procedures, providing clear and concise information.
- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Delegate tasks to support staff, promoting a team-based approach to patient care.
Requirements:
- Current RN License through a recognized Nursing Board.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in Surgical Oncology.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory and excellent communication skills.
- Some computer proficiency and ability to navigate electronic medical records.
