Industrial Mechanic Supervisor

Hood Lumber is a leading manufacturer in the industry, and we are currently seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our team.
About the RoleThis position involves supervising maintenance teams, ensuring equipment is running efficiently, and performing repairs as needed. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize production.
- Lead a team of mechanics to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and machinery to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Dismantle and reassemble complex systems, making repairs as necessary.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as a millwright or equivalent role.
- High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications an asset.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- A strong understanding of mechanical principles, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving goals.
Hood Lumber offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a generous pension plan.
