Campus Safety Supervisor

Position Overview
The primary objective of this role is to maintain a secure and orderly environment within educational facilities. This includes addressing student inquiries and fostering a supportive atmosphere throughout the institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Observe and manage student activities in hallways, classrooms, auditoriums, locker rooms, restrooms, and other school areas.
- Stay informed about and adhere to all district policies and procedures.
- Ensure a disciplined and safe environment for students at all times.
- Assist students in behavior management and conflict resolution.
- Promptly report significant student issues to school administrators.
- Maintain regular communication with administrators regarding ongoing situations, concerns, and requirements.
- Immediately report any safety, sanitary, or fire hazards to the appropriate supervisor.
- Engage respectfully and thoughtfully with students, staff, and the community.
- Complete necessary communication logs and documentation as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
High School Diploma is required, along with a minimum of two years of experience in a related field.
Certifications
- Clearances and certifications as mandated by Act 34/151/114/126/168 are required.
Skills and Competencies
To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Knowledge and Abilities
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential. Familiarity with educational protocols and procedures is necessary. Proficiency in electronic communication is required.
Academic Skills
Understanding of K-12 education systems and the ability to manage and organize resources effectively to support the school environment. Willingness to learn new technological tools with minimal training is important.
Language Skills
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms. Must be able to convey information clearly to administration, staff, students, and the community.
Technology Skills
Competency in using email and other electronic communication methods is necessary.
Reasoning Abilities
Ability to problem-solve, manage multiple tasks, and utilize time and resources efficiently. Skills in organizing information are also required.

- Demonstrated enthusiasm for the educational environment.
- Ability to respond quickly in challenging situations while maintaining composure.
- Possess creativity, patience, sound judgment, and logical reasoning.
- Ability to concentrate amidst distractions and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, staff, and the community.

Physical Demands

Work Environment
The work environment may range from an office or classroom setting to more dynamic and noisy environments such as cafeterias or playgrounds. Most of the time will be spent indoors, with the need to adapt to various weather conditions for outdoor activities.
