About the Role

As a Physical Therapy Assistant at UofL Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our physical therapy team in providing high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibility will be to assist licensed physical therapists in evaluating and treating patients with various physical disabilities and impairments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physical therapists in conducting patient evaluations, developing treatment plans, and implementing interventions to achieve patient goals.
  • Perform tasks such as setting up treatment areas, preparing equipment, and assisting patients with transfers and exercises.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records of treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • P.T.A. licensure in the practicing state
  • Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant studies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Physical Therapy Assistant or rehabilitation experience
