About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Communication Specialist to join our team at Veracity. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a critical role in diagnosing, treating, and preventing speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of clinical communication principles and practices. You should also possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. A strong background in speech-language pathology is essential, with certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders in individuals across the lifespan
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient
- Conduct screenings to identify voice or speech disorders and develop strategies for improvement
- Educate patients and their families about speech disorders and the importance of early intervention
- Maintain accurate records of patient care, including progress notes and therapy plans
